So the giveaway post didn't get very much attention, so here's the real giveaway:

Lately I've been into making my own jewelry. So here are some that I made for you! Leave a comment and tell me what you want! (Julie gets first dibs since she commented on the giveaway post).

#1- Bird and swirled glass bead pendant.#2- Bird with swirled glass bead pendant and matching earrings.

#3- Pink flowers with leaf and pearls. Matching necklace and earring set.#4- Same as above, but slightly different loops and I ran out of chain- sorry:)#5- Leafy branch with bird and brown beads.

All of the necklaces are about 18 inches long. Let me know if you want one!

Birthdays

With two birthdays in two weeks, it gets kind of crazy. We ate so much cake, too!

Telena's first birthday cake. The colors turned out a little too bright, but it was fun to make.

After eating cake her face is so messy. She has decided that she loves cake. And brownies. Pretty much anything chocolate. If she sees us eating it, she reaches for it and says "uh uh uh."

The official portrait- I take the kids in to Kiddie Kandids every year for their one free 8x10. Love it. Love the outfit she's wearing- found it at a thrift store (for 25 cents) and it just looks so vintage and sweet.

Cade's Cowboy Cake. Rylee picked out the horses to go on top (since I wasn't quite sure how to do a cowboy cake for him- a frosting cowboy hat??) when we went shopping for his presents the day of the celebration.

Love his reaction. "A GUN!" His gun we got at Christmastime got broken within a month, so I searched high and low to find a nice durable metal gun that wouldn't break (found it at Cabela's). By the way Mom, your money (and Grandma's) got him some training wheels and a bike helmet- Thanks!

Isn't he the most handsomest little boy! I can't believe he's three already :(

Catching Up

So here in Middleton, Idaho March was Middleton Unplugged. The idea was to unplug from electronics and plug into our families. Anyway, the ground rules for our family were: no TV or movies, no computer except checking emails weekly, and talking to Grandma and Grandpa via Oovoo.

It was a great month. The kids played together more and seemed to get along better than they ever have. They didn't watch any movies, except for snippets they saw at the doctor's office and such. Cole and I stayed off the computer and mostly followed the rules. It was great.

So since doing that for a month, we decided to do Baird Family Unplugged. I came up with a ticket system for the kids. I bought a roll of carnival type tickets at WalMart and the kids (and I) earn tickets by picking up toys, setting the table, helping with dishes, making their bed, etc. Then they can redeem the tickets: 4 tickets to watch a movie or do a craft, 8 tickets to buy something at the dollar store or Target dollar spot, 20 tickets for the Disney store ($5 limit).

We started this at the beginning of the month. Already Rylee has enough to go to the Disney Store. She is so proud of herself and we are glad the plan is working. Cole was worried because she got so many tickets so fast (he didn't want to pay out that frequently), but hey it gets them involved and motivated to do things around the house. But this is how Rylee saves her tickets. If she wants to watch a movie she says to Cade:

"Do you want to watch a movie? Let's go get your tickets!"

I'm such a proud mama! She loves to do papers with me now that our office is set up for scrapbooking. She calls the decorative scissors "crunchy scissors" because of the noise they make! Boy do I have some fun times coming up ahead- learning to share my supplies!
