Subscribed to Family Circle- love it. Finished all of the Twilight books (again).
What movies, television shows, plays, etc. did I watch this month?
We watched The Blind Side finally (after being told many times by friends and family how good it was). I was so mad though, because I had been told the whole synopsis and all of the good/funny parts. It was a very good movie still. On Netflix we watched September Issue (the Vogue documentary), The Saint, and Bad Company. We tried to watch General Conference on the computer because we couldn't get it on the radio here, but someone spilled water on the keyboard and shorted it out. I only got to watch a few parts of it, but the talks I did get to hear were amazing and directed right to me.
What fun things did I do with my family and/or friends?
We had a nephew's wedding this month. It was so great to be in the temple with family. And to celebrate all day long with the temple ceremony, then a luncheon and a reception in the evening. It was a really long day, but so fun. Here's some of my favorite pictures:
My sister-in-law and niece. (She JUST got engaged- with her wedding in July, that will be four weddings in four months for us!!)

My nephew and his new wife.

My sister-in-law's family. One son is on a mission, so they brought a picture of him for their family pictures.

Rylee and her cousin Seth. They have so much fun together.
Something I thought was really neat about their wedding was how she picked their wedding colors: spring green and light turquoise. Her birthday is in August and her birthstone is the Peridot and his birthday is March and his birthstone is the Aquamarine. So his family is wearing the pear green color of her birthstone and her family is wearing the aqua color of his birthstone. I loved it- like each family was welcoming their new member.
Easter was really fun too. Cole and I had so much fun hiding the eggs this year! (On a side note, one of our dogs died on Easter. She kept getting out of the back yard- we found out she could climb the fence and open the gate- and on Easter we found her on the side of the freeway. So sad. At least we still have Molly though.)
What gifts did I give and/or receive?
Trying to find a wedding gift still. We wanted something a little more personal than something off of their registry list.
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
So I spent a lot of money this month :) It felt nice to be able to splurge after being so strict with our budget while Cole was unemployed. I bought lots of new clothes (not on sale- it felt so weird because I'm usually such a bargain shopper and only shop the clearance rack) and some camera stuff- a new lens, some magnifying filters, a remote and a portrait backdrop. I bought the remote, backdrop and borrowed a tripod from Cole's Dad so that I could do my kids' portraits instead of taking them to a studio and get raked over the coals (I learned the hard way that Kiddie Kandids- where I loved taking my kids for their free birthday photo- stopped doing the free photos).
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
None. We have all been so healthy this month. Not a sniffle in sight. We are so blessed. I did have my yearly though. That's always nice.
What were my accomplishments this month?
April was Middleton Unplugged, which is our community effort to unplug from electronics and plug into our families. We had a Family Night at the fire station one week and the kids (Cade especially) loved sitting in the fire truck- totally forgot my camera though- he had THE biggest smile on his face. Our family rule for the month was no movies for the kids unless it was a Daddy night or Babysitter night, so they watched about one movie a week. I think we should be unplugged all the time.
What were my disappointments this month?
The preschool stopped this month. One of the ladies moved, and is moving again. Another one had a baby, so we decided to call it good. Or they called it good, and told me we were done. Whatever. I already have talked to some people about doing another co-op in the fall, so hopefully that will go through as planned.
Anything else noteworthy to include?
